It started out as doodle (Atake who is my character is the one drawn in pen and faber-castell at the bottom) and the rest is colored in aquarelle faber-castell. My parents bought me the watercolor kind on accident from Hobby Lobby (apparently the ones who helped them was an ART student but gave them the wrong kind, nice work genius) and I'm started to like them now.
I have like 4 copic markers, but I want to get more before i do anything them *sighs*
Anyway, Atake is an ice maiden from the Glacier (like Yukina). She doesn't really have any secrets except she's not clueless and enjoys being how observant she is (she notices right off the bat Hiei is the Forbidden Child, as she was present at his banishment.)
Those in the pic are: Yukina (far right), Hina (far bottom left, I'm proud of how well she came out), Hiei (the one clad in black of course), Touya (the one with the ice sword), and Rin at the very top who is in fact, praying.
I keep rewriting this fanfic, but I think I'm finally coming to a resolution. ^^
I used a micron pen, blue and black ballpoint pens, aquarelle faber-castell pencils, pastel faber-castell pencils, and a lot of patience.
I think you did the colors quite wonderfully. I love the blues you worked through Yukina's hair, and I especially adore the crosshatching you did in the background with the white snow. I would make a total mess of something like that if I tried to do it.
My only complaint is that Atake and the little kitsune don't really look like they fit into the picture, and the crosshatching on them isn't as consistent as it is in the rest of the picture. It's somewhat jarring.

yeah, it was supposed to be a doodle in class for some pen practice lol then I decided to practice with my aquarelle colors and one thing led to another and yeah...I totally understand, it was bothering me too. I'm working on another Atake picture to help picture her colors more (with aquarelle!)
