Swimming Detka discovered he could swim more fluidly than most far before he figured out he could bend water. He sometimes mysteriously claims the tiger seals of his homeland taught him to swim.

Painting No bragging required (nor does he tell anybody of this particular hobby), Detka has watercolor and the expansively imported oils near mastered on canvas. He's not too sure if he feels to have a career come of his artistic talent, but his room is covered in finished pieces. Surprisingly, his favorite subject matter is city-scapes.

Personality: Detka is soft-spoken when he speaks and is rather content going about his business alone. He walks quietly and unintentionally spooks others by "sneaking up on them". Despite his large muscles, he does not have any formal martial arts training.

Whenever he was at the harbor he imagined he was back in the Southern Water Tribe seas, a frozen land with waters much colder than the Republic City's. Those memories were from long ago however, Detka had to admit he could hardly remember those early days and bitterly admitted (not out loud) he enjoyed the city life.

Breaking the surface with slick precision, his messy dark hair looked an inky black against the Republic City's dock water.

Since he had clocked out an hour ago Detka had been lazily swimming among the empty docks. Finding shells here and there, he would sell those for extra cash at the pawn shop near his abode.

From where he was in the water, Detka noticed there was a group of teenagers, around his age, sitting together on one of the docks. A couple were skipping rocks, but they were talking animatedly and Detka made haste to avoid being sighted. He never felt like talking, although he always saw the same group of people every other day. They were a team of pro-benders (judging by their team uniform), he preferred not to get caught up in their talk of their favorite sport.

Additional Info:

Even though it would seem he wouldn't be looking for one, Detka is actively looking for a friend among the crime-brawling streets of the Republic City. Respecting the former Avatar Aang's decision it should be a place for equality of the bending and nonbending world, it does anger him to see crime, but avoids dangerous confrontations (at this point, meaning ALL confrontations).

He does know how to waterbend, but keeps it a secret. He rather talk of other things, but will fight if he feels the need and no one else is there to do it (to protect those who cannot protect themselves).
